In about 20 minutes, at 2pm Pacific time, I will be doing an experimental livestream on Rumble, discussing my thoughts on the latest argument from Sam Harris that raised substantial controversy. Click here to watch. I will do my best to steeelman his argument, which means to construct the strongest form of it, and then show you why that strongest form of Sam's argument is still hopelessly weak.
Unfortunately Rumble is blocked in France...will find out how to access it later. It is easy but it introduces fritlction, which is more than enough for control.
Pretty boomer on a technical level. Couldn't hear sam speaking while you walked across Seattle. But I have hear Sam's argument multiple times so I could fill in the context.
I'm glad you made the point that if the data was different, it's only fair to assume Weinstein may have had a different take. That had occurred to me early in this debacle and you're the first to voice that obvious point. If the virus had been different, Bret would have have spoken differently about it. It's unfair to Mmkeep Bret stationary as you move the world around him to make him wrong in the hypothetical thought experiment.
In the Pfizer and Moderna “gold standard” randomized clinical trials, the vaccine groups had 4 extra non-COVID deaths for every 3 less COVID deaths overall (compared to the placebo groups). In blunt terms, that is 4 killed for every 3 saved, even during the deadliest Alpha wave in winter 2020-2021. The separate Pfizer and Moderna trials both showed a 15-17% increase in non-COVID deaths, and specifically a 40-50% increase in cardiovascular-related deaths, with vaccine versus placebo.
Believe it or not, the excess all-cause vaccine deaths in both trials were confined to the OLDER age groups. In total, among the older age groups, there were 21 deaths in the vaccine groups versus 16 deaths in the placebo groups, in the two trials combined. (For the young, the risks of an experimental vaccine were never justifiable to begin with- particularly the unknown long-term risks).
Among the older age group (>55) in the Pfizer clinical trial, there were 12 deaths in the vaccine group versus 10 deaths in the placebo group. https://www.fda.gov/media/152256/download - see page 57, BOTTOM of Table 25
If the mRNA injections caused Covid-19 infection in everyone within two weeks after injection, then the injections would be said to be 100% effective at stopping transmission.
Monster fail on the experimental stream. Dang. I was looking forward to it. Maybe that's why the experimental jabs failed, too, eh, Sam? lol
Thanks anyway for trying, Alexandros. From what I caught, it was good. Out at 5:21 EST.

The long night is falling on us.

You can't create steel out of rust.
Ack! I'll see if I can get there.

Damn, I missed this. Was it recorded?

Loving it.
