I was recently invited to do a Twitter Space—hosted by Steven Steele and simulcast to Lev Polyakov’s Break the Rules YouTube channel—to discuss Elon Musk. I have been researching Elon Musk and his efforts for many years. In this podcast, I defend the position that Elon is an outsider to the establishment. It’s a position worth being open-minded about.

Insider/outsider is a fuzzy term, so I dunno about that.
While I sympathise with his motivations, I doubt what he can accomplish with his Twitter purchase. Especially with the recent FBI statement, coming guns blazing at the first amendment after the Twitter files. They seem very sure of themselves. And they are the people in control of the tap, of how many idiots are jumping on the hood of his childrens cars, and other such offers that are hard to refuse.
Even if he is somehow immune to all that; the suits who control the flow of the advertising revenue of twitter are not. I think either Twitter bends, or it will be made to disappear; barring some kind of massive political upset, of very entrenched trends. But arguably, him breaking a lance/few tens of B with twitter might be a catalyst of such political upset.
As it stands, you have a democratic party as unlikely to buck the trend as Bush-era republicans were to reign in the patriot act, and a few grumbling republicans with most of those solidly in the pocket of the deep state as well.
Oh and then there is the rest of the planet, from China to the EU, where we do not have a first amendment, and people are clamoring in well orchestrated cheers for their government to tell them what to think. Dont count on us to buck the trend.
You pose a good question here. I'd be very happy if he didn't say he will install a Neuralink chip in his own brain when they are ready. Human spirits that were made (spiritually) in the image and likeness of God do not do well with this kind of intrusion. Elon seems to be his own man, looking out at the Universe as if he was the guy leading the human race. He is trying to do a good job.
