'any products/projects or other things that are similar to what I am describing'. Chris Martenson comes to mind. I am not a member of his private community, but sounds similar on a high level; though perhaps more focussed on praxis rather than philosophy?
Id been thinking of giving his community a spin; and I definitely intend to come check out your 'thing' whatever you may call it; if family life and timezones permit at all.
I did read everything you wrote here, and I think its infact the only form of content I subscribed to on the whole internet; not because I cared that much about particular treatments to particular respiratory viruses, but because above all it is the epistemology of the past few years that fascinates me.
To give some feedback on formats; ive read all your substack content; but I have yet to fully watch one of your livestreams. The easy answer would be that I dont have two spare hours in my day; but to be critical of you as a content creator, it is my initial impression that your 'voice' works better in written than spoken format. You are a detail focussed person; and thats great on paper when I can read that many times faster than its written; but seeing the argument being written sure requires more time commitment, and sure will attract smaller audiences. Not saying thats the goal; but just something to reflect on.
There is the appeal of the interactive format of course; the end product of such a discussion need not be a polished article, and there is a lot of fun to be had in the interaction itself. Assuming you manage to attract an interesting group of people.
Thats quite the if. Ive been to LW / SSC meetups; and I have not found myself going back often. The median youtube commenter on Martensons' page feels a lot like.... the median youtube commenter... Your substack also has seen its share of all-caps interjections; though to your credit the ratio of interesting comments to median-homo-sapients-on-the-internet comments, is impressive. (I would not say the same of Scotts comment section today).
How to actually get together the kind of people that you want to be talking to, is not a trivial matter. I suspect it does require at least somewhat of a shift out of the nitty gritty detail; and that there is room for that, without immediately devolving into clickbait, especially if your community does foster and value detailed arguments in written form. (by contrast, Martensons content usually errs a bit too much on the side of big picture for me)
Its a matter of continuous filtering. The idea is to set things up such that more and more of the right people, and less and less of the wrong people, end up tuning in. The aim is not to get a large audience, but a fairly small, high-powered, collaborative group.
I heard. I'm happy he is revealing his real self (including the rest of the interview) so people know who this person is, and they can't later say they were surprised.
I guess im not sufficiently well versed in internet drama, but it seems implausible that he is referring to Alexandros here, even if he did post a clip of sam harris?
Ah ok. Indeed it would be becoming of him if he became a little more careful slinging opinions around and doubling down on those about people he probably can barely discern from one another, given the platform he has today. He seems quite emotionally invested in the Ukraine war; as you might reasonable expect him to be. Truth may be the first things that falls in war, but civility probably isnt far behind.
Hi Alex! Ganine here. I'd love to help with what you are trying to accomplish. Just let me know. Either way, good luck! And congrats on what you accomplished at Balena!
Also, disappointed to see you are still locked out of Twitter (I assume that is the case). You put so much time into generating content on that platform so sucks you are locked out now. Was hoping that as a Twitter Blue subscriber people would have more recourse for addressing these types of unjust bans. I still have hope for Twitter though with Elon at the helm that these things will be sorted out in time.
Best wishes for your project.
Here's a tough challenge, though: make it work despite the language barrier... ^^

Hey Alexandros! Just in case you are interested in more internet drama, I was listening to Konstantin Kisin on Viva Frei's podcast and KK refers to you as "a piece of shit" at about 36:00! https://rumble.com/v280d9c-live-with-comedian-and-host-of-triggernometry-konstantin-kisin-viva-frei-li.html

He is definitely referring to me. KK has a history of false claims about me. I've chronicled the story here: https://twitter.com/alexandrosM/status/1560695197486305280
I've got some hypotheses of what is behind that, but they are too vague to mention.

I'd love to see you have Bret Weinstein on the livestream.
...and the crowd goes wild!

Hi Ganine! Great to hear from you! I'll ask a common friend to forward my contact details.
Congratulations on your next phase!
Excited thanks so much ❣️
