Turning on subsciptions
If you appreciate the work we are doing on this substack, please consider supporting us!
It's been fantastic seeing all the interest in this Substack over the last couple of years. I started it as a place to record my findings and investigation and by now we’re getting close to 10,000 subscribers! I’ve kept it free throughout the pandemic as I have been working on it on my spare time. Last week's article on the TOGETHER files was the second most liked to date, and it gave us a clear message that the interest in this work remains high. It was a collaboration between me and Eva Tallaksen, who is my wife but also a trained and experienced journalist, in the proper sense of the term.
I have had access to this material for over a year, and as you can imagine each of these articles requires a lot of time and effort to research and put together. But we both want to keep this going. I have gathered quite a bit more unreleased material to go through, and intend to keep going, as alluded to in the last piece. However, especially with material like this, we need to make sure that we have covered all our bases, contacted all the relevant people, and made sure we are not exposing ourselves to liability in any way. At the same time, we need to prioritize making a living, so without any way to fund this work, our pace will be too slow.
So, encouraged by a number of pledges we saw already committed, we've opened up paid subscriptions on the Substack -- all articles will still be available for free, but your support will be greatly appreciated and go towards us continuing to expose unknown aspects of the real story of what happened during the pandemic.
We are considering a perks for subscribers, such as monthly open threads where you can suggest topics for us to investigate, previews on upcoming articles, and more, but we intend to keep the core content free and open.

Count me in. Your work on the together trial in particular was meticulous and highly valuable. If you produced nothing else I would still feel obliged to subscribe for a while just to provide compensation for that prior effort.
