The Lancet: Tip of the Narrative Spear

Whenever the powers that be found themselves on the ropes, the Lancet was there to bend the rules, ever in their favor.

From the lab leak hypothesis to early treatment, from human-to-human transmission to lockdowns, the Lancet was there to make some absolutely understandable errors, but always in the same direction.

#1: Transmission

They delayed in letting the world know about human-to-human transmission.

#2: Lab leak

They forgot to check for conflicts of interest in the letter that made the lab leak hypothesis untouchable for over a year.

#3: Natural Immunity

They published the John Snow memorandum with its absurd claims on natural immunity which contains this incredible statement: “...there is no evidence for lasting protective immunity to SARS-CoV-2 following natural infection...” citing a single paper with very different findings.

#4: Lab Leak (again)

They refused to publish a statement by scientists supporting the lab leak hypothesis.

Concerning info about the long-time editor of The Lancet seems to be coming out: When contacted this January by The Paris Group to publish a pro-lab leak letter signed by 14 experts, he rejected it without review: "we have agreed to uphold our original decision to let this go"

#5: Hydroxychloroquine

They published the disastrous, fraudulent Surgisphere study on Hydroxychloroquine, which had elementary errors that forced its retraction, but not before all other HCQ studies were stopped because of it. @raoult_didier found the issues two days after publication.

6. Ivermectin

They delayed Tess Lawrie's Ivermectin meta-analysis by putting it through peer review. Then after the authors had completed corrections as requested, the editors decided to reject the meta-analysis.

Here's an older interview of Tess Lawrie who describes the absurd number of obstacles she had to put her meta-analysis out. Cochrane refused to publish it, at the Lancet it passed peer review and then editors refused to publish. Unheard of.

At least the Lancet's editor, Richard Horton, knows where his loyalties lie.
